Subject: A New Family

My sister Annie, and I were waiting to be adopted by someone who will love us. We finally found that person when a lady whos name is Alana walked in the orphanage. She said she was looking for a little girl. She wanted a little girl who loved horses. Well, she saw my little sister Annie and said she was perfect. Well, when she found out that I was Annie's sister she knew we would be heart broken if we were seperated. So she decided to adopt us both. I love horses and I'm a pretty good rider. I know how to english jump very well and I'm good on western riding too. My sister is only 3 years old but is already crazy for horses! The first thing we did after our new mommy adopted us was drive to our new home. It was beautiful! We live in a really big house with 3 dogs and a really big parrot! The dogs are really big and nice. They always come up to you and lick your face! Our mommy surprised us and said we were going to find a pony for each of us! I would finally get my own pony! I was so happy! I wanted one that could jump and Annie wanted one that was western ridable and nice. So my mommy, Annie, and me went to a pony store and tried to find a pony. Annie found one first. She fell in love with her instantly! Her name is Fleatwood. She's a dappled grey that is trained for western pleasure and trail riding. She's 10 years old and really nice! Next we looked around for the right pony for me. We looked at alot of ponies, we even looked at the big horses. They were really big. I saw this one that mommy said was a Sweden Warmblood, I think. And he was really big! I don't know how I would be able to get on him! I would need a ladder!! Then finally we came along a really sweet gelding. His name was Little Squirt. That's my nickname! I knew he would be perfect. Mommy said that we had to be careful while picking out a horse to make sure he was the right one. First she asked the lady selling her if we could feed him an apple. She said yes so mommy fed him one first then I got to. Mommy said that I had to hold my hand out straight then put the apple on my hands. His lips touched me as he nibbled the apple. He nicked for more and I kissed him on his nose. I hope I get him! After that Mommy took us to these stores. We got helmets, saddles, bridles, bits, saddle pads, the right riding clothes, school clothes, halters, lead ropes, feed, and many other things. When we went home I got to use a floating inner tube in our pool. Then mommy tried to teach us how to play tennis. It was fun! Annie got tired and went to bed in her new room. Mommy said I could stay up a little bit later because there wasn't any school the next day. I had alot of fun. Mommy made some popcorn and we watched beauty in the Beast.
