Thomas Cuthbertson b.1870 Old Monkland (christened as Kennedy his mothers name)Listed as Cuthbert on 1881 census married as Cuthbertson in 1895 Ardrosson to Maggie Hannah (widow) b.1874 Maybole her parents Robert Hannah b.1840 Maybole and Catherine Boon(Bone)b.1841 Monkton Thomas's parents James Cuthbert b.1849 Saltcoats Elizabeth Kennedy b.Old Monklans they had the following children after Thomas Elizabeth Cuthbert b.1872 Old Monkland James Cuthbertson b.1874 Old Monkland(went to America before 1939)Matilda b.1876 Old Monkland Alexander b.1878 Saltcoats Archibald b.1880 Saltcoats Eleanor(Ellen)b.1884 Saltcoats (went to AMERICA)Robena b.1889 Saltcoats ( went to America)Jessie b.1891 Saltcoats.(went to America)
Thomas and Hannah with their children moved to Motherwell to work in the steelworks and lived at 85 Milburn Street Motherwell first born James b.1896 Thomas b.? Margaret Hannah b.1912 Eleanor b.1906 Elizabeth Kennedy b.1909(my mother)Robena b.1915.
Thomas Cuthbertson b.1870 died 1940 while liveing at above address his brother James b.1874 came over for the funerel.

Robena and Jessie were my father's aunts and the sisters of my grandfather
