Subject: Maxwell

Our family bible states that my grandmother, Rosann Maxwell was born in Motherwell in 1871. I can find no record of her birth. I have a cousin that knew her as a child and says that grandmother Rosann Maxwell told her that she was born in a village by the name of Blackmar although she is not sure of the spelling. Rosann was Catholic. She married my grandfather William Brown Wilson in Osceola Mills, PA, USA in 1891. Can anyone help to tell me where to look. I have been to the Register Office in Edinburgh with no luck there.
