Formatting is the last resort
Ive seen that error code b4
its a hard drive/bios error

try this before you format the hard drive....

1)
Restart the computer with a Windows 95 or Windows 98 Startup disk that contains the 'Sys.com' file (this file is included by default on the Win startup disk).....

2)
At a command (Dos) prompt, type 'sys c:' (without the quotes).
-Enter-
This will rewrite the Windows 95 or Windows 98 boot code with accurate BPB (Fat32 BIOS Parameter Block ) information.....

3)
Restart your computer

It should work

if not then a format is likely the only cure

if u dont have a startup/bootdisk
u can download the boot disk for
win95/98 here:
Startup/Boot Disk Win95/98

for win Me here:
startup/boot disk win me

if youre running win NT u need the nt plugin
here:
Win NT Plugin

good luck
=)
