Subject: Hunting the horse murderers

The vote is taken and the group quickly decides to start the search for Kauldren's killers.
First up, following Tukatula's suggestion, Baraka, Sythion and Tukatula investigate the site where Kauldren's maimed body lies. Aldrai stays back a bit, overcome by horrid emotions at the mere smell of the blood soaked earth surrounding the corpse.
Tukatula squats down next to the dead animal and reluctantly begins an examination of the remains. The first thing he immediately notices is that the kill was both violent and professionally done. There are several very deep gashes in the horse's throat and neck. In all probability, the horse's vocal chords had been damaged so severly that the horse could not even cry out in pain anymore as it succame to it's attackers' brutal carnage.
The next thing Tukatula notices is that the horse's belly is cut wide open and to his amazement, Tukatula finds that some of the horse's organs have been removed. The stomach is missing, as are the liver, heart and blatter. The young man averts his head in disgust at the discovery. Who could do such a thing?
Meanwhile, Sythion had started scouring the surroundings and Baraka was leafing through one of his books to see if he could find any helpful information there. Unfortunately, although the Hourani manages to understand what the book is about, at first he has little luck in finding anything useful. The book handles about cultures and social interaction between races.
After flicking through about two hundred pages or so however, the hourani finds a section that catches his attention. It's a section that handles about folklore, superstition and less accepted and used forms of magic.
It reads:

In some cultures, it's believed that the body of any living thing holds great powers. Amongst gnomes, goblins and some other races, it's been said that the organs of a creature can yield insights into the future and any creatures or persons close to it. Although generally discredited as being no more than an old wives tale, it is said that there are still some who believe in the use of such magics and practise them vigourously.

Sythion, who'd been poking around in the nearby bushes, also makes a discovery. A gold coin lies on the ground beneath the bushes, but a closer observation reveals that the person displayed on the coin is not the same as the man on the coins in his pouch. He brings the coin back and shows it to the others.
