Okay, let's go one by one. Why is it disgusting? Immoral, okay, I think I see where you are there. Leads to health risks...perhaps, but as Astrid pointed out, those risks would be materially lessened by legalization. Unhealthy I think we just covered. Why revolting?

I am not mocking you -- I really am trying to get a read on why, exactly, you think prostitution is wrong. Your responses thus far have only amplified that you think it's gross, but why? Is it because you have religious or other beliefs about sex outside of marriage?

If prostitution did not spread disease -- for example, if it were regulated, the women were checked frequently and treated, condoms were mandatory, women could come forward with complaints if a customer refused to use a condom without fear of reprisal, etc. -- would you then have no objections to it being legal?
