I think the ongoing dispute between Arab nations and Israel and the US's huge financial support of Israel (giving it one of the finest militaries in the world) is a catalyst for terrorism.

I think another catalyst is the financial ties the US has with corrupt Arab leaders, but I think Israel is bigger.

Obviously I am not saying that all conflict in the world is due to the conflict in the Middle East, but the current Islamic terrorist threat *is*, IMO. And it's more a clash of extremist religious belief than anything, which I find most frightening, because logic doesn't work in such conflicts.
