Subject: Nuclear Waste Transportation

Bush wants to transport nuclear waste across the US by truck and train to a storage facility in Nevada. I'm very concerned about this, because the proposed routes pass within ONE BLOCK of my home, on tracks where there was a major coal train derailment two years ago.

Given the number of train accidents and truck accidents every year, this plan seems extremely foolhardy to me. But maybe I'm just suffering from a bad case of NIMBY.

Anyhow, check this map:

Why not just nuke Chicago and St Louis and get it over with, huh?

I'm sure this plan will pass with little public notice. Maybe a terrorism warning will distract everyone.
