Have you listened to Hole's Live Through This album (my winner in the My All-time Favourite Album category)? Lots of interesting mothering lyrics on there:-). My favourite lyric off that album is "I don't really miss God, but I sure do miss Santa Claus". Though I suspect Kurt Cobain wrote them, or atleast heavily influenced them. Much like Celebrity Skin sounds like a Billy Pumpkin album.
