I saw two yesterday, and recommend them both.

The first I saw in the theatre: Lilo & Stitch. A few things I really liked about this animated Disney feature: the watercolor backgrounds, the gritty low rent existence of the main characters, and--something I am surprised no critics have pointed out--the fact that the main female character has a body that is attractive but has a realistic (non-Barbie) shape.

Second was on video: You Can Count on Me, which won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2000 Sundance film fest. It deserved it--great film, 'nuff said.
