You're deliberately misunderstanding now. In my original post, I spoke about young Arab males -- no mention of radical or terrorist affiliation at all -- as a target group for profiling. You replied by asking why young white Christian ex-military males weren't targeted for profiling. I replied that such a niche group could not be visually identified, unlike young Arab males. It's that simple. All your outrage -- "You're saying that it is okay to think "Arab male = Possibly Muslim Extremist" but NOT "White male = Possibly Anti-government (or IRA, or KKK) extremist" -- is totally misplaced because I said nothing of the kind. I simply replied to *your* post, positing a certain group. Had you asked about targeting young white men with short haircuts and plaid shirts as a *proxy* for young white Christian ex-military radicals (perhaps this is what you meant but did not clearly state), we could have discussed more. As it is, the view you attribute to me neither follows from what I've written nor really represents my thoughts. But I think you knew that.

Yes, the internment was wrong. But not all wrongs are equally wrong. Shoplifting is wrong; assault is wrong; rape is wrong; genocide is wrong.
