I know you searched for truth when everything was filled with lies

to make you feel warm and loved and secure
I wish that you would not have had to endure
the life you had, filled with so much suffering and pain
You've lost so much and so many, that sometimes it seems there's nothing to gain

For you and to you I will give my all to make sure
