Subject: Donker

Zoveel tijd bracht ik in het donker door,
Niet wetend wat er nog gebeurde en waarvoor...
Eenmaal ontwaakt, nog steeds opgesloten en alleen,
Niet wetend wat te doen, kon nergens heen...
Nu de tralies zijn verdwenen, het donker geweken is,
is er niets wat ik nog mis..
Ik voel heel goed de verloren tijd, al die jaren,
wil alle goede dingen in één ogenblik ervaren...
Ik vind het heerlijk om weer vrij te zijn,
maar te weten wat verloren is, doet ontzettend pijn...
Nu is mijn taak een leven op te bouwen,
op mensen gaan vertrouwen....
Eén bijzonder mens heb ik al ontmoet,
waardoor ik weet, het komt toch nog goed.
