Are you really a Reverend?

(As much as I don't believe in denominations, I have to ask), What denomination do you minister with?

Don't worry, pastors are cool. I had some really fun pastors back from the state where I come from. The youth pastors would do crazy things like make fun of N'Sync (two of them went and did an N'Sync dance parody for a talent show one time), and would allow themselves to be put in the 'dunk-tank' at a fair we had. and they had some funny and interesting stories to tell, so . . . some pastors are okay!

Now,about people . . .

I remember a quote from a Pink Floyd song that goes: "He's just the same as all the rest: he's not the worst and he's not the best."

An interesting perspective on people, eh? We're not the worst and we're not the best . . . we're human. We're flawed, but Jesus still loves us anyway. That's hard for me to understand sometimes because I usually see only my own personality flaws: anxious, eccentric, sarcastic, pessimistic, depressing, socially-illiterate, indecisive, a bit paranoid, overly-critical, daydreaming, forgetful, obsessive, hypochondriac, incoherent in speaking at times, just plain odd, etc. (If this were a description of a character in a movie, that character would probably be locked in a mental institution or be seeing a shrink.)

I've just got to find friends that will accept me and my particular brand of quirkiness. When I find them, they will be the right sort of friends for me. Although . . .

It's getting harder to find friends in this TV/ media- driven modern society that loves to label people like me as having 'mental problems'.
