Not as far as I know. Strangles is just like a cold in a healthy horse, & it's only really youngsters, the elderly & the weak/ill cared for that it's really a problem for. Bit like the 'flu in humans.

She could have lice, ringworm(which is very contagious) or a fungal skin infection. Any of these problems can come about if the horse is lacking in copper/sulphur. *Make sure you suppliment the right amounts though, as an oversupply is as bad & sometimes can cause worse probs than the lack.*

In the meantime, you can make up a copper wash for her to apply topically to releive the symptoms.
