The same thing happened to me! The filly freaked every time she saw even a goat. Then we got about ten cows and a bull. I thought if I put her in with the cows and the bull, she will be forced to calm down and get used to them.

How shall I put this? She went crazy - tail up, she attacked the bull mercilessly. He tried to charge but she kicked the crap out of him (quite literally!) He was so frightened that he jumped the fence and refused to go back into the field. He remained standing in the middle of the road (must to the consternation of the neighbours) refusing to move until the danger was over.

Then she turned her attention on the cows. First herding them in one corner and then chasing them to another corner of the field. In the end I opened a gate and allowed the cows to flee to another field. The horse 'patrolled' her field, tail up, like a dog that has just seen off a rival, shouting her head off with pleasure.

My guess is that your horse wants to pick a fight!
