HI!!
I'm just expierencing strangles on our farm. We have 32 horses and some have it. My most favorite gelding, mine, is 5 yrs. old. He is an Appaloosa. He is 16 hands. We didnt think he would get it very bad but he has. He has terrible swelling in his legs and used to have a very snotty nose. He has not busted out yet but I have heard that is the best. His balls have also swelled up like he was just gelded. I dont know what to do. I was told to run cold water over them and also his legs. He has had it now for about 3 weeks. Do you have any idea if he is in his last stage? Has anyone had a horse like this. If so or have other information, please email me:

Thank you very much,
Brittany
