My young un,,, had that problem for awhile and I for one never believe in hitting a horse but my vet suggested that when he goes to bite just clip under his chin so he can feel it uncomfortably and so he thinks he did it himself,,, he soon realized that gee this isn't as fun as i thought it was,,,,,,,, he is nip free now and even gives little horsey kisses for a treat,,,, lol
