Subject: Ring Sour Horse

I have a 7 yr old QH gelding that is extremely ring sour and nasty. This first occurred at his third show and he has been shown approx. 5 times since (a grand total of 8 shows in his LIFE) becoming progressively worse. He trys to take you into the middle of the ring (watchout judge!); kicks out with one hind leg when he's cued to canter; and cranes his neck around to bite your foot in all horsemanship/eq patterns. What can I do?! Has anyone ever gotten a horse through this or is this animal not ever going to be a show horse?? He's never been a friendly horse - always seemed distrustful of me - trys to bite - pins ears back - doesn't like anyone coming over to pet his neck, etc.. He does seem to like grooming while on cross-ties; loads/trailers like a dream; good for farrier/vet. Scared to death of clippers and needs Ace to clip. I purchased him because he is a beautiful mover and was sound with very little training to "mess him up." (HA!) At his first show he won almost every class entered... I'm sick over this! Please HELP with ANY ideas!!!
