Try Majesty's Flex Wafers (countrysupply.com). See if they make a noticeable improvement. Do you know what the horse was used for prior? Many gaming horses (especially cutting horses) get arthritis early on. If he's not this way all the time, it may be just plain laziness. We have a mare that does ok in cooler weather, but as soon as it gets hot, she doesn't like to lift a foot to do any kind of work. Good luck!
