Subject: O where is Shadow?

The scene fades in on....a children's show? To be exact, it appears to be the Jim Henson production of 'Bear in the Blue House'. The music cues, and the characters introduce themselves (Bear, Mouse, Luna and so on) and then they sing their final introduction.

Welcome welcome welcome to the big blue house!
Welcome welcome welcome to the big blue house!
Door is open, come on in!
Now it's time....to begin!!

The scene dissolves to an interior shot of the house. Pantera(!) appears, walking up the stairs, dressed demurely in a pair of jeans, white t-shirt with nothing on it except a picture of Bear, and her hair pinned back. She seems to be looking for someone.

Pantera: Have you seen Shadow? I'm supposed to be wrestling him on Friday as part of the title tournament. But I can't find him anywhere? Can you help me?

She pauses, looking at the camera and appears to be listening to something.

Pantera: You will? Alright. Let's sing our song and find Shadow.

Oh...where o where is Shadow?
(She pauses and looks around)
Oh, where o where is Shadow?
(She looks around again)
Oh, where o where is Shadow?
Where can Shadow be?

Shadow!! (she calls out)

Abruptly, a shadow puppet appears in the form of a sock on a stick being projected on the wall.

Shadow: Why hello Pantera! I've been looking for you!

Pantera: And I've been looking for you, Shadow!

Shadow: Well, I guess we've found each other then!

They share a mock laugh, the sort you see on...well...children's tv.

Pantera: So Shadow...are you going to wrestle me looking like that?

Shadow: But Pantera, I always look like this! And I have to bluster....

The sock shimmers and moves to some tinkling piano music...

Shadow: And I have to talk tough and sound mean like I can beat you. *ahem*

At which point, some music starts up.

Shadow: You are just a girl!
You are just a girl!
I will beat you good!
I will beat you good!
I am really tough!
I am really tough!
And I will win!
And I will win!

Pantera just walks off-screen, and she's seen in silhouette pulling the sock off the hand and dropping an elbow to the bottom of the screen. There's an 'oof!' sound and the hand disappears. A few seconds later, Pantera comes back and starts walking down the stairs. She turns, though, and looks at the camera with a smile.

Pantera: Don't worry. I didn't hurt Shadow. He's really nice when you shine some lights on him. Shadow always comes back, like a bad smell! And next...we're going to learn how to play in the bath!

She makes a whooping sound and disappears down the stairs. Her shirt, jeans and underwear appear at the bottom of the screen being flung upwards....there's the sound of what sounds like a very surprised bear and the music is cued very rapidly as we fade to black.......
