Date Posted: 10:26:29 08/20/02 Tue Ishtar's gaze meets Sarquint's levelly. The anger and hate growing inside him for this wolf he does not let show. None here know, save himself. One day, perhaps, Sarquint will learn. But not yet. Not until it is in Ishtar's best interest. "It is unfortunate, uncle," —that, at least, he can call Sarquint— "that you care so little for your grandaughter's wishes. As I said, it was by her request that I came here. I hope, at least, you can do better for her than you did for her mother. After the torturous youth you let her lead. Did she ever even get the chance to call you father?" Ishtar makes a spitting sound of disgust. "Though I suppose you did no better by any of your other children." He holds his head higher, glancing around the Clan. "But I am no fool. I know when I am out-numbered by hostile enemies. So I will not linger." He turns to leave, stopping only to dip his head and nuzzle Lunaia. Be strong, little one. And the black-masked wolf is gone.
