"All wolves have to die eventually, sweetie..." She began gently, slowly. "But somewolves die sooner than others. Sometimes they get sick and die, but sometimes, well, sometimes they get killed." She does not want to go too far, unless Piper wants to know more. WindChaser does not know what happened to Brandy, but she does not doubt that it is a fate many other wolves, perhaps the masked Ishtar, perhaps others - would have in store for all of them, if they had their way.
