i know it s been awhile since i ve posted so i m sorry to come back with a poem that i know is not that good but this morning, i was lead to write it, which is how most of my poems get written anyway. it has significance b/c there is a song it's based on. not sure the name but it was being sung when travis gave his life to Christ. the words repeat over and over "open the floodgates of heaven. let it rain, let it rain."

Open YOur floodgates, Lord,
and let Your love
pour down on me,
let YOur joy
flood my soul,
let your rain
blind my vision to help me see.
Open the floodgates of Heaven,
and rain down into this world.
Let a storm
start a revolution
let the rain
pour out from my life
to help someone else
reach restoration
with YOu.
