so many days went by
when not a sight was seen
of your beautiful eyes.
so many nights ended
without your voice heard
before my conscious descended.
so many minutes were wasted
with your empty words
and the kisses i never tasted.
so many thoughts went through my head
does he really love me?
would he even notice if i were dead?
the seconds passed by
like years
as i drove to your house in fear
thinking i would find you dead
in your bed
from an overdose
of the drug that controlled you,
the drug that you loved
more than me
the wife, that you hoped
one day i would be.

i m not sure if this one is done, but for the moment that s all i can think of to write.
explanation of title: i didn't know about any thing that was going on for at least a month, maybe more, our relationship, at the time, was one perpetual lie.
