Hi Juni, thank you for your question. You are in the beginning stages of learning to see an aura.

The aura has seven layers. Each layer has its own characteristics and general appearance.

The 1st layer will be a light blue or colorless field of energy about one or two inches from the body.

The 2nd layer or emotional layer is composed of color. These colors extend 4 to 5 inches above the surface of the body and are the easiest to view. They are the colors we use to interpret the aura. This is also the layer that constantly changes depending on our emotional state at the time. This layer can be used in healing.

Colors appearing in the 2nd layer are also related to the character and personality of the individual.

The 3rd or mental layer usually appears as a pale golden light. This layer does not have colors like the 2nd layer. Its shape appears as sort of a outline or cocoon around the body and extends about 8 to 10 inches away from the bodies surface.

The 4th or astral layer is similar to the 2nd layer and is composed of colors. The colors are dimmer and harder to see and they appear approximately a foot to a foot and a half above the surface of the body.

The 5th or etheric template layer commonly appears as a deep blue shade to the eyes. It is located approximately two feet above the body surface.

The 6th or celestial layer appears as streams and streaks of light extending from the center of the body in all directions. This layer has no dominant colors or pattern consistancy. It only consists of these colorful streams and streaks of light.

The 7th or ketheric layer appears as a transparent golden light. This layer is approximately three feet from the body surface and will contain all the colors of the other layers in their brightest form.

When first learning to see the aura keep practicing on the layer that is easiest for you to view. In time doing this will bring all the layers into view. It is normal to begin to see only the first few layers with the physical eyes. You may get an intuitive impression of the other layers of the aura prior to seeing them. This intuitive impression is very helpful in learning. 99% of the time your gut instinct or first impression is correct. Always trust your instincts and go with what you feel. Each person is different. Some people can see colors immediately while others may take lots of practice to see them. Structured classes to see the aura colors can be very helpful and may speed up the learning process.

I hope this helps you with your aura viewing, keep practicing and don't get discouraged, everything takes time. I hope you will continue to post here on the forum!

Love and light, Carol
