In the past two months I have been blessed with having some pretty first class nightmares. Here are the two that I had last night/early this morning:
I was sitting by myself at a cafeteria table and eating some kind of Asian food right out of the box. I was using chopsticks and looking int he box when I saw what looked like a chicken gizzard. I looked closer and thought a saw movement. I shook it off, then I saw it again. Startled, I dropped the box onto the table and the box fell on its side. A HUGE very shiny black snake slithered out, lifted its head and looked around.
I woke up from that dream. It was still dark, so I calmed myself down (I am terrified of snakes--I always have been, but I am not sure why).
I went back to sleep and I found myself in the living room of the farmhouse that I grew up on. Jim Carrey (Ace Ventura, Pet Detective!) was standing to my left and we were looking in a concealed corner where the snake had gone to hide. I was very afraid and went to the kitchen and went to get some tongs. I measured to see which one was the largest and to my surprise it was the one that I thought was the shortest.
I went back to the living room and found a white corn snake slithering up the wall with the black one waiting it's turn. Jim Carrey told me how to pick the snake up with the tongs. I felt like I was squishing it, but didn't want to hurt it.
I took it outside and walked half way down our sidewalk. by then it had turned into a pink and while, very fat, millipede, I released it but it didn't go anywhere. Jim Carrey came out with the black snake and it was even larger than I thought. He let it go, but again, it stopped and stared at me, like it was trying to decide what to do.
I went back inside and found the whole house was infested with millipedes, snakes and other creepy crawly things. I didn't know whether to be outside where they were all being released or inside where they seemed to be growing. I fianlly sat down at the kitchen table and put my head down. I "felt" that something was there, and I looked up. I saw another black snake ready tos trike me. I literally shrieked as I woke up.
