I know this is all because of my post. I realize what I said wrong in it and I'm sorry. But I *didn't* say that Brian's rules were wrong or unfair. I never *once* in my entire message say "Brian's rules are bad. Brian's rules are too strict". I never, ever once said anything to that extent. I'm sorry my message seemed to "imply" this. I don't see how it did.

I am not trying to steal members from this board. I'm not trying to "imply" that this board is bad and you should come to mine instead. I just didn't get my wording right when I said "free". I just felt that if those trying to discuss Star Trek wanted to do so on a QL board, I might as well tell them that there *is* a QL board that strays. I never once said "this board is not free enough." I said "here's a board where you're free to talk about QL...etc." I don't see anything in that phrase that says, "This board isn't free enough. Come to my place instead." I never even used the word "instead."

I don't mind Brian's rules. In fact, I think they're wonderful, if it keeps everything going smoothly. When I posted my message, I was simply telling everyone what sort of features are on my board... not to lure anyone away from here, but to simply let them know what features it has. It was a cut&paste job, and I know now that I should have edited it, because now I've caused a huge hooplah about it.

The whole "straying" thing... well, I'm used to being on boards where people stray off topic. The Touched By An Angel board is like that, and I've been going there for years... so I'm used to it. I understand that some people want to keep their boards on-topic, and I respect that. If I want to stray, I do it on other boards. Try to find one message that I've sent on this board that strays. I respect the rules of the people who own the turf I'm sitting on.

I hope you all can forgive me for unwittingly instigating all of this. Getting everyone upset was not my intention.
