I just had another holiday with some old school mates from Wah Yan. The 6 of us got together in Seattle and Vancouver area for some hearty hiking. The 'team' consists of my brother Lam Yin Sze (Wah Yan 1978), Soo Siu Shing (WY 1978), Michael Cheung Ming Chee (1978) and Winkle Kwan Ping Chung (1979) and my sister-in-law. We hiked the Mount Rainier area near Seattle and also the Garibaldi area near Whistler area. I felt very safe during the trip as I was surrounded by 3 doctors. Soo Siu Shing is a bacterialogist working in Nottingham UK busily checking bacteria inside Robin Hood's apple. Michael Cheung is an oncologist working at Q.E. hospital (Ah Q hui EEE bang) and Winkle is also an oncologist working with the Fraser Valley Cancer Institute in the Vancouver area. We camped just beside Garibaldi lake at about 5000ft then hiked up to Panorama Ridge 7400ft the next day. We had much protein (numerous flies and mosquitos) during the trip and drank a lot of spring water...kind of reminds our old XV scout trips! Get fit boys and come and join me next summer!
