I am so excited right now! "There Will Be Blood" has so many problems with it but it doesn't matter--I wonder if Anderson even bothered to read the book and though I'm quite sure he did I'm also even more assured that he failed to grasp 75% of it. Maybe 95% of it. But he gets what he wants to get and so does Daniel Plainview. Having a plain view of the world is the way to go, man. Don't complicate things. Kill.

The ending is magnificent. SPOILER!!! I thought he was just going to bully the kid. Have a good laugh. I would have stopped after throwing him around. I wouldn't have had the balls to start bowling balls at him. Maybe. But I wouldn't be trying to hit him. I'd get a good laugh as he weaseled about. I certainly wouldn't pick up the pins and start throwing them at him. Watching him crawl down the lane like Buscemi in Reservoir Dogs would have been a good enough laugh.
