This is a pretty funny movie. I was in a bad mood all day. To make matters worse my pregnant girlfriend refused to climb the stairs necessary to get a good vantage. Stuck in the front row cranking my neck up and having to watch the screen like a tennis match I scoffed at trailer after trailer. I was ready to hate Semi-Pro but Will Ferrell is just too damn good.

Furthermore, he (or his Production Designer) is able to completely capture a period of basketball that no longer exists and will never exist again. That was actually the best part of the movie. From the uniforms to the court to the locker room to the stands this movie transported me back to a better time.

I'm gonna go watch some old basketball games on YouTube.
