Date Posted: 16:55:54 11/08/07 Thu Author Host/IP: c-71-197-21-170.hsd1.mi.comcast.net/71.197.21.170 After praising the season opener, I have bee completely disappointed with every episode that has followed. The downward spiral started with the one about Stan's dad taking the world's biggest shit and getting into a competition with Bono--who is unfairly disparaged. Then they had that lame trilogy about imagination land that went nowhere. But tonight's episode looked promising. The game Guitar Hero has recently caught my eye. The ad with a decrepit Slash emerging from the carcass of a player got me thinking how fun this game would be. Does it kind of teach you how to play? I've always wanted to learn. Now, the boys are lampooning it and it starts off great as they make a nice point about the dad being able to play--and play we--yet the video game generation has no interest. From there it goes nowhere. Stan starts playing Heroine Hero and him and Kyle break up. Was this following the "Star Is Born" narrative? I've never seen it. Do you have to be stoned to appreciate this show? I've got my Adderall. I am Iron Man. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
