My Super Ex-Girlfriend was a unique film that encapsulated a keen sense of the genre and managed to mix it with the type of humor found on "Three's Company." Key to this was Luke Wilson's--whose normally chiseled face swells up ten pounds as if bitten by a bee--ability to play the schmuck. He was BRILLIANT!!! The chemistry between him, Sykes and Farris (who I've mentioned is starting to get me hot on a level-of-Dunst) produces three or four huge laughs.

Add Rainn Wilson's weirdness like only he can do it and there's MORE-THAN-ENOUGH laughs for this baby to succeed as a comedy.

NOW...add the angle of Thurman's character; similar to "Prime" she is able to take an absurd narrative and give her character the perfect amount of depth. She'll be around til the day she dies. She's the best actress of HER generation and still FUCKING HOT!!!

The little Brit toad was also more than capable of delivering comedic presence.

The plot was obvious but not as obvious as most comedies and whoever wrote it had a definite love for the genre. There were no holes in this script and if there were I was laughing too hard to notice.

Got me, Homegirl.

What'd you say!?
