I haven't read your review but I have finished watching the movie. I wanted to give my thoughts before reading yours.

This movie was all right. However, Knight has clearly lost his magic. His anachronistic self-satire not being enough, Knight takes an anachronistic shot at the critics WHO REALIZED "The Village" SUCKED.

I gave him a pass on the absurdity of some aspects of "Signs" but that was because I was absorbed and enthralled by that movie. NOBODY HAS A GUN!? It is a wolf...SHOOT IT!!!

To Knight's credit, he is able to channel Kaufman's "Adaptation" self-awareness tangent to keep stale narratives fresh--Knight employs red herrings through the critic. It's kind of cheesy though.

Ultimately there are two ways to look at the underlying message of this egomaniac whose feeling the energy flowing away from his career.

The first is that Knight is a modern-day John The Baptist/MLK martyr who will die for the savior. (There is a giant smirk on my face that I cannot contain. I'm trying to but now my forearm is tingling. Ahh, the smirk is back. Forearm tingles gone.)

Ultimately, this movie is an attempt by a well-meaning, very nice young Indian man to make US appreciate the foreigners among us...no VALUE them...because THEN...WE WILL WANT MORE!!!

Nice try, Hindu. The next administration (That would be Rudy's) is going to deport your ass. THIS IS AMERICA!!!
