I love the stress that is put on preserving this breed's temperament, but what good is that if the dog's health can't withstand the work? I have two very good, hardworking boerboels that are health trainwrecks. What association out there is putting some emphasis on breeding better dogs structurally as well as temperamentally with the same stringent testing? I'm sorry, but I don't believe one can happen without the other. At least not for any kind of longevity. No such thing as a perfect dog out there, but shouldn't we take the responsibility that those before us may not have done to create a better generation than the last?
