Lee,

(Directly or indirectly).
First, I consider dogs from my program to be dogs I choose the parents of, dogs I pick the placement of, and dogs I select for temperament to compliment intended use. I do not consider dogs that have been bred and whelped elsewhere to be from me or my program (see below)...they simply have my blood in their pedigree...and these represent some very fine animals, I just don't get the credit for them (good or bad).

Secondly, you are spot on about Norman and Gordo. Back then Norman was one of the very first to even try a Boerboel at SCH., and I have always publicly stated that Normans success was limited by the fact that he should have been given a better dog to work with,...shame on me.

From here it gets ugly, let me also point out that it was my expressed wishes that Gordo be put down and replaced when we found out his whole litter expressed generalised Demodectic Mange. Gordo was not put down, and the rest is history...let me spell it out for you...

Norman decided that his pup had enough potential to keep him alive and give him a try, since he(Norman) never intended to be a Boerboel breeder, the demo seemed a non-issue. After training and maturing the dog came here for me to look at...I was of the opinion that Gordo was not of sufficient temperament to be bred... with or without the Demo problem.

Here I get uglier, somewhere, somehow, (I don't know the facts) Norman and/or Tashi decided that Gordo WAS good enough to breed and whatever (?) arrangement was reached and Tashi used Gordo at stud and placed pups...some crap (sorry JB) about his good qualities off-setting his bad qualities...well Lee, you won't get that bull-shit (sorry JB) from me or my program. So you can forget about putting my name and her name on the same page, I do not consider people who cut corners, justify by poor ethics, or contribute problems to an already soft gene pool to be my contemporary...if you would settle for that, just get your dog from her.

DKH
