You know, you may not have personally brought a dog to the appraisal, but you did have a dog there that you produced. You may not agree with the appraisal system but what you produced scored the lowest points out of all the dogs. The appraiser first asked why he was neutered. I told him about the aggression issues, the allergies, the prozac he's on, etc. Then he proceeds to shake his head and ask "is this an actual boerboel?" Then states, "Everything about this dog is wrong. I would have to ask if there is another breed in this dog." How embarrassing. Then he proceeds to tell me about how small the dog is, doesn't even match up to females, the head is wrong, body is wrong, etc. He also added that he's glad that Truman will never breed because of the crap he'd produce. I also told him that he was sold to me as a breed quality boerboel. That really shocked him and said that he would put the dog down and ask for my money back.

You know, I love this dog. We have done so much for him getting allergy tests done, blood work to make sure he's normal, seeing a dermatologist, a behaviourist/trainer, putting him on meds, etc. He has gotten better... as long as I don't forget his prozac.

I wish that I would have researched breeders a little better. I have learned so much from this experience. Maybe you can too with your breeding program. Turok has produced some great pups, Camo is the one you need to question.
