If you lie to somebody you have stolen from them what need to decide for themselves. There is clearly a difference between knowingly mixing in other breeds and owning a dog who may or may not have had someone way back down the line do that.

Nice to see this board talking other than dog food. Or how wonderful their " Dog/breed" is when they take a puppy out of a crate.

As a guy who does cross breed lines, and has no intention of sneaking anything in anywhere, nor of starting a " new breed" the topic is close to home.

Regardless of where folks stand on crossing, I think we all agree, it's another matter to covertly introduce outside breeds and call it pure.

It's one thing do it and call it what it is... a cross.

It's another to sneak it and lie about it.

So, David, again, I'll ask you since you brought this whole thing up as some sort of pending problem that the registries needed to address, you said " others " are looking to do this..

I think you should name those " others "

Otherwise it creates a sort of Mccarthy effect,

The little old ladies in the Kangal "" community "" are forever talking about "dog fighters" in much the same way, I'm convinced it's a non issue here, but they create this environment which allows them to cast suspicion without ever naming anyone, and then they can do their remaining dirty work with implications.

I'm not looking to stir up any drama here, and I'm not saying that was David's intent...... least it would seem out of character.....

But if one is going to raise suspicion... then one should cowboy up and point the finger.

My grandparents on my father's side were screen writers, in hollywood, in the Mccarthy era. And the next thing you know they were living in small village in Mexico, and young pops was pulling water from a well with bucket and a rope.
