I said in the breeds HISTORY they would have been selected for performance...meaning prior to 15 to 25 years ago.

Today, meaning in the last 15-25 years, people have been breeding for show/looks.

Did you even read my post? A breeder of working dogs wouldn't have cared what color the dog was, with a possible exception being white, as white can be linked to "leathal" genes and deafness...plus, it doesn't camo well.
