Ashley if the breeder is asking more for a different color dog then they are taking advantage of the desire for that particular color typically the latest fad and most likely the buyer willing to pay that price has no clue what they are buying to start with. Most experienced dog owners seeking working dogs couldn't care if the thing is yellow with purple polka dots if it has all the traits they seek in a good working dog. My goal is different than your average person looking for a football watching buddy who will growl at the mailman. So we might be comparing apples to oranges in reality. The fact is that your general dog buying public has not a clue about what they are buying other than "is he mean or sweet" "is he easy to house train" etc etc. There is a great divide in working dog buyers and the general public.
