Subject: vet bill

I Took my 10 month boerboel to the vet so he can be cleared so that I can board him. The bill was 160 dollars they told me I need to have a heartworm test and test his stool. The heartworm test was 60 bucks and to test his stool it was 35 dollars. I was told by someone I did'nt need these 2 test to board my dog just the shot for kennel cough and up to date shots. Now I know I should have the heartworm test every year But do i need these test to board my dog or was my vet trying to earn some extra bucks and he does own the place where i was going to board him.
