Subject: I heard a very loud bang upstairs yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000...

Such a strange occurance on that day, that I had to take 2 nerve pills to calm down. I told everyone I saw that day. I was almost in the passing out phase.....

There is a preliminary I must tell about first, as this occurence is probably 99.999999% due to the fact that my mother had just passed away on Nov. 25, 20000.....She was buried on Wednesday, Nov. 29,2000.

Although I did not SEE a spirit, I truly believe her spirit was in our home yesterday between 1 and 1:30 pm.......I'm just about 100% sure it was her, but I don't know if she was mad or happy with me, or just saying hello or goodbye, or that she's lingering in Limbo or Purgatory waiting for the gate to Heaven to open....

Here's what happened: My son had given me a really nice heavily decorated standing crucifix for Christmas last year '99......I always keep in on my desk in our bedroom on the desk next to my bed. It stands alone and a picture of Jesus is nearby......The Crucifix roughly weighs about a half a pound......and sits on a three legged sturdy base....

I used this Crucifix to lay on the exterior of her casket at the Mass service. The Priest blessed the Crucifix and the casket, etc.......Then I brought the Crucifix back home and put it on my desk in its usual position......

So now it was Weds. the 6th of Dec., 2000.....I had been downstairs in our bilevel home typing a letter on this computer as I am now; The time was between 1 and 1:30 pm that I heard a very loud bang upstairs. I stopped and thought "oh well, Mark (husband) must've come home; someone dropped something heavy upstairs".....at the moment of the bang, my dog Skittles, who was laying on the couch in the same room with me and her head popped up in attention to the noise. She didn't pursue it, but just layed back down after not hearing any additional noise.......

Then I thought right away it was probably the baby gate that slipped and fell down (we have all hardwood floors upstairs, so all noises are easily heard)......We keep the baby gate up sometimes just resting against a doorway so Skittles won't go in our son's room and do her "business" as she had been having a habit of doing lately......

So I didn't think about this bang or what it could've been anymore; I continued writing my letter, which I finished at about 2:10 pm......I had to get a shower fast and run pick up our son from school by 2:45.....So I ran upstairs.....

And flung open our bedroom door to turn on my curling iron, but my attention was immediately drawn to a sight which had NO explanation of happening.... My crucifix was laying face down on the desk. I felt my blood pressure rise to about 200 it seemed; I froze and almost instantaneously I thought of mom. And that this is what made the noise! Then I thought, wait a minute.....let me check to see if the baby gate was still up.....yep, still up where I put it this morning! Still I stared and stared at the cross as it lay there. I picked it up very slowly....wondering how in the hell it was possible that this thing made that big noise! And how it even fell, because I immediatley checked the three legs to see if maybe it had a chip or something and a slight vibration of a truck passing the house would've made it fall.....No way! The legs were perfect, secure. The way it would've fallen is if maybe a book had fallen on it, or someone or something picked it up and slammed it!!!! I even tested the book theory. The Crucifix will not fall even if you slam a heavy book next to it! I checked every possible thing that could've made it fall, but I couldn't find ONE!

There was no one else home but me and Skittles, our dog.There were no windows open, no other things that had fallen to make that loud noise!!!!! I checked the whole upstairs before really panicking.....Then.... I was flabberghasted with fear that maybe mom's spirit HAD done it and as I had NO time to call anyone to tell about it because I had to be at places fast....In fact, I turned off the curling iron.....there was no time to do this now......Jumped in the shower and was "talking" to mom and hoping she wasn't mad at me......and that we wouldn't fight over her money she left us....." I hurried out of the house to pick our son up and tell him.....I told him what happened and his reaction was: "Mom, you know mom-mom was buried one week ago today at that time you heard that noise"......And it's true. She was being lowered into the ground between 1 and 2 pm. on Weds. Nov. 29........What are the chances of me actually getting view of her as a spirit in the coming weeks and months? Has anyone has something like this happen? Was this her saying goodbye? Or behave yourself, I haven't left yet? If her spirit had gone to Limbo or Purgatory, will this happen, and will other things happen later until she gets to Heaven or her headstone installed on her grave? I am still in shock over this thing happening. And now I am constantly looking for other evidence of her spirit having been here.....
Any ideas or advice or theories from anyone?????!
