Subject: Residual EVP

Has anyone ever come across an instance where an evp of past "sounds" has been recorded. In other words, I'm getting recordings of people walking and dropping metallic objects on a plank floor. The room is currently carpeted and no matter how many times I've tried to recreate the sounds, I get what I believe to be a current sound. The floor was originally plank but that was over sixty years ago. The haunting itself is textbook residual. Full apparitions and even the name of the ghost is known. I believe the cause of the haunting is an event that took place in 1933. This would explain the sounds being on a plank floor. I just cant figure out how these sounds can be actually recorded. Thanks.
