What type of recorder are you using? Have you used the recorder in other locations? If so, has any other similar sound been recorded there? I just want to rule out ambient noise or a technological problem with the recorder.

I have heard of noises other than voices being recorded, without being able to hear them while the recording session is happening. There is really no way to "prove" that this type of recording is related to ghost/spirit/haunting phenomena, but after all, isn't that what is so intriguing about this whole ghost investigation stuff anyway? :)
