Subject: pavillion stlye roof over old mobil

I am in the process of buying a mobile home with a steep pitch steel panel roof over it which is supported on sono tubes and appears to be well constructed. the old mobile must have a flat roof 1974 model and im sure i can remove it but im wondering if a new unit /w a pitched roof will have any clearence under the roof i cant see up. it is boxed in the underside to meet the top side of the mobil would there likly be enough clearence for a pitched roof mobil if it is trussed or how else would it be constructed

I have know idea if what you are considering is possible from cyberspace. I suggest pulling down a small part of the "boxed in underside" so you can be certain. Thats what I would do if I was there considering such things.

If they pulled the axle out from under the home after they delivered it you will have to jack it up to get an axle under it and what will that do to your clearance. It just don't seem to me that this is as easy a thing to do as it might appear with the roof difference and all.
