A long time ago when I was a kid this is how condensation was explained to me.

Warmer air rises and warmer air can hold more water content then colder air. The air on the outside of the metal is cold and the air in the attic is warmer having more water in it. As the air is cooled by the cold air on the other side of your metal the water you see forms because the warm air is cooling and not able to hold its moisture anymore. You might want to consider insulating your attic space on the ceiling of your living space better to keep the heat from the living space rising up to the bottom of your metal roof. You also might want to see if your attic space is properly vented. You need bird blocks in the bottom of the roof to let cool air in as the venting you have in the top of the roof lets the warmer air out. Bird blocks without roof venting is useless and vice versa. Warm air can't escape by rising out of the bird blocks and it is trapped without bird blocks letting air in to replace the volume of warm air escaping through the roof venting.

Just something you might consider,
Tim Soth / A Roofer
