Subject: metal roofs

our house is 15 years old. we have an asphalt shingle that is not holding up to good. our contractor suggested we replace it within a couple years. whats out there in a metal roof thats comparably priced and suitable for wisconsin winters? our roof has a 9 x 12 pitch

Just for me to buy the cheapest standing seam metal from the supply yard costs me 2 1/2 times more then the cheapest asphalt roofing product.
