And why would a star Trek ship Need that kind of protection? I don' remember any Turbolasers ever being fired at a trek ship! Besides their just glorified flashlights remember. Unless your agreeing that Turbolasers are more thatn just LASERS. In any case you maybe right about particle protection. But then what are the tactical deflector shields for?
