For myself it's a very very close tie between Data & Artoo. I love'em both and they both are extremely capable when it comes to handling themselves. When it comes to technical issues I beleive Artoo has a clear advantage over the others, including Data. He's a wiz with Starfleet LCARS based computers, but has some dificulties with Alien technology. Artoo doesn't seem to hampered with that limitation. BUT in a combat situation Data would seem alot more capable that Artoo. He's far stronger, and uses phasers! So even though Artoo's a vitual "swiss army knife" in technical issues, and can fix anything! I must choose Data as the one I'd want to have with me. As tough as a T-800 as sophistcated as Artoo. I'd say together theyed be able to bring down the whole Borg Collective! Exocomps are primitive Astromech droids, and K-9 is not a very good design at all for a droid. Cylons are about as threatning as the Battle droids from Episode I, "By your command. Roger, Roger." I'm not familiar with the others.
