Firstly, the 64MT figure is derived from the famous E=MC^2 equation, given the amount of matter and antimatter in the torpedo, there is no mention of isotons required.

Secondly, as I stated in the post, I could use examples of trek torpedoes from the show, but then we would have some examples that are very powerful (TDIC), and others that are very weak(ST:V). We would then spend the next month debating which is correct, and would never get to the point of THIS post. Although the TM are not a canon source, the 64.4MT figure is generally accepted as a reasonable mid level for torpedoes. Certainly it is not 100% confirmed to be correct (what is in these debates), but a number of examples do support that kind of yield, and many consider it to be reasonable.

As for ICS:AOTC, my view is this. The yield of the turoblasers shown in the classic movies don't come anywhere close to this level of firepower EVER! The yield of the turbolasers described in the books don't come anywhere close to this. This is not the yield described in other source material (ie RPG material, games etc). We didn't see the ships fire in the AOTC film so we cannot use that as a a guide. The turbolasers in ICS:AOTC are not even mounted on the same ships that we are talking about. We don't know whether the 200GT relates to a single cannon or the whole broadside. There are too many variables to use it as a meaningful measure, and it would be overidden by higher canon material anyway.

Therefore, in my post, I was as reasonable as I thought I could be. I said there were high and lower trek firepower levels, but took a middle ground. I said (and showed) the higher and lower Wars firepower levels. I explained why I thought that the low value was wrong, and why the high value was wrong, and then took a middle ground figure. If I wanted to stick 100% to the rules of canonicity, I would have taken the example from TESB, which being a film would override the ICS:AOTC book. That would give you 7.5kt per shot. I then would take the trek torpedo figures from TDIC, which being a show would overide the TM. This would be very high. But that is what a fanatic would do. Would you prefer that? Instead, I picked the trek example which gives then about 70MT per torpedo, and the Wars example which gives nearly 600MT per bolt. And STILL the warsies whine and complains. Frankly I don't see what you are complaining about!
